Welcome to GeoWoodstock XIV

squirrelThe main event will be held on SUNDAY July 3rd, 2016 at the Botanical Gardens, Chatfield location in southwest Denver. Close to state parks, mountain access and all things geocaching.

We plan to make this event a destination weekend for all geocachers and those they drag along. We expect to have events throughout the weekend so bring the entire family and enjoy what Colorado has to offer. We hope to also make this America’s first GIGA event.

Why 14er? Colorado is home to 53 fourteeners, mountains that meet or exceed an elevation of 14,000 ft. Some you can drive up (2 only an hour and a half away), most have to hike but all are what helps make Colorado so beautiful.

Thank you to our Diamond sponsor!

GeoWoodstock History

stampThe concept of GeoWoodstock is the brainchild of JoGPS and has grown each year into what is today considered the annual convention for the international geocaching community. You’ll not only meet cachers from all over the United States and the world but you can learn about the latest & greatest in geocaching tools and technology, meet and talk to experts in seminars and training sessions, and buy or sell geocaching and other interesting products. There are of course geocaches to be found, food to be eaten, games to be played, and other interesting sights and sounds. This is a very laid back event. It all began with the 1st annual GeoWoodstock on June 21st, 2003 in Louisville, Kentucky and has grown into a Mega event. If you have never attended a GeoWoodstock, make plans to attend now and see what it’s all about! If you have attended before, well, you know the feeling and we’ll see you in July 2016!
